This notice covers viryaintel.com and the Virya Intelligence modules: the Energy Policy Brief, the Electric Grid Index and Energy Atlas, the Compute Risk Explorer, the US Grid Explorer and the Grid Simulator.
What we collect
Your name, email, and country when you sign in; your LinkedIn profile link and a record of each PDF you request (what it covers and when); and anything you send us by email.
Email codes
To open a module, you verify your email with a 6-digit code sent from contact@viryaintel.com. A code expires after 10 minutes and is stored only in scrambled form.
Why
To give you access, understand who uses these modules, and reply to you. We may email you about Virya Intelligence updates, events, and offers. You can unsubscribe anytime.
Sharing
We share your name, email, and country with Virya Intelligence’s partners and sponsors, who may then email you, only if you tick the optional sharing box when you sign in. It starts unticked, and you can sign in without it. Your latest sign-in sets your choice, and you can withdraw it at any time by signing in with the box unticked or by emailing us. Our hosting (Netlify), database (Supabase) and email (Hostinger) providers also process your information on our behalf.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your information. Sharing with partners and sponsors happens only when you tick the sharing box. To opt out, sign in again with the box unticked, or email contact@viryaintel.com with the subject “Do not sell or share” and we will record the opt-out against your email.
GDPR (EU, UK, and Switzerland)
Sharing with partners and sponsors rests on your consent through that box, which is never a condition of access. You can withdraw your consent, unsubscribe, or ask us to delete your information at any time.
CCPA (California)
We share your contact details with sponsors only if you tick the sharing box. You can opt out of this sharing, or ask us to delete your information, at any time.
Your browser
After you verify your email, your browser keeps a signed sign-in cookie for 7 days that covers every viryaintel.com module; it holds no name or email. Clearing your cookies signs you out but does not delete our record. The Virya Grid courses at viryagrid.com have their own sign-in.
PDFs
A requested PDF is sent by email once your details are verified, and shows your name, email, country, LinkedIn profile, and the request time on its pages.
Abuse prevention
Sign-ins, codes, and PDF requests are rate-limited using scrambled forms of your email and IP address, kept for one hour.
How long
Records are deleted about 12 to 13 months after your last sign-in.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete your information, email contact@viryaintel.com. We respond within 30 days.
Shared links
Compute Risk Explorer links carry your inputs in the URL, so share them with care.
